Crystal Palace are enticing fans to apply for seats in the new controversial ‘singing section’ in the Holmesdale end that is set to be introduced next season, and many fans feel that it is a huge step for the club to take.
The south London club have largely been without the most vocal members of their fanbase this season as the ‘Holmesdale Fanatics’ refuse to attend home games after proposals for a centralised singing section were initially denied, but the hierarchy at Selhurst Park eventually caved in and announced plans in September.
The general consensus is that the atmosphere has suffered this season, so these plans surely came as a massive relief for most fans, who felt that the club must do their best to maintain or further improve the noise for which the Eagles have become famous.
Here’s how the Palace fans reacted on Twitter, with some suggesting it will be the start of a new chapter for the relegation strugglers.
