Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes took one of the club's former employees out for lunch after they were made redundant by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Since Ratcliffe and INEOS joined United as minority stakeholder in 2024, nearly 250 employees have been made redundant as part of their cost-cutting drive at the club. One such employee was communications officer John Allen, who served the club for 25 years.

While Allen was forced to leave the club almost a year back, he continued to keep in touch with the senior figures of the team. On Tuesday, the ex-employee was spotted catching up with Red Devils captain Fernandes as they went out for lunch. The duo were spotted heading to Juniper in Wilmslow, a hotspot for United players to enjoy a meal, according to .
